Mollywood meets Baliwood

This wedding was back in Oct 10, but we just recently got the pictures. It was a whirlwind day, we had to setup in 4 hours. It's hard to even stop and admire any work, it's just get one thing setup and then on to the next. Luckily it turned out great and was a big hit with couple and guests. The groom was shocked at how much was done when he arrived.

The bride was stunning and looked as though she had a ton of fun that night. I'm so happy it all worked out with a great result. Much happiness to you Sunil & Linda.

Fall is in the Air

A new wedding, with new toys to use.

Here are my new cupcake stands. The cupcakes didn't last long, thank goodness the stands aren't edible even though they look yummy too.

I love the chairs and I know where to ask for them now...and I will ask for them.

Here's a shot of our new back drop system. It's made out of wrought iron with a satin powder coat finish. It's the perfect framework for makeshift draping/curtains. We used them for the food tables.

Look at this "dainty" piece. I think my husband hurt himself moving this thing, but it was worth it. Brandee's Aunt Brenda was the florist and also supplied the chairs with ties. She added so much to the final look and was a huge help.

Arch and ceiling were in full force Saturday night.

I made some apple towers to help compliment the fresh flower/candy arrangements. Gravity is always a challenge but a few well placed toothpicks really do the job.

I had fun with all the custom signs and was honored that they asked me to do one with new family name.

Summer 2010

Usually summer means hot and slow, but this year, lots of people were getting married and we were lucky enough to be part of it.

The Shelley Family had a game theme. The tables had some monopoly and scrabble pieces that we were able to incorporate into the centerpieces. Fun, fun, fun.

Another great family and great customer were the McDowell family. They have asked us to set up a setting for a couple of their son's luncheons. They've been great to work with.

Some Spring Flings

Spring is naturally a favorite of mine. I love the colors, it turns my job into play time. Congrats to all our generous clients and their families. The venues turned out great, but it was the couples that made them shine. Congratulations to our newest brides and grooms!

A December to Remember

Emma's wedding was full of bright colors. She was so cute. Best wishes to you and Brady....Thanks.

I can't tell how fun December was...No literally I can't. I don't remember most of the stuff we did we were so busy. I do remember the Robinson wedding though. Wow, lots of eye candy at this reception.

December also meant hosting bunco...Good food & great company, what a combo.

The Shelley family have been long time friends. It was an honor that they asked me to help. The theme was Hollywood 40's. We were able to get a red carpet with a movie candy display case and velvet ropes for the foyers and incorporated a theatre curtain look behind the cake/food table. Lots of fun feathers and the bride was a starlet while the groom kind of had a Monopoly guy tux with a top hat. Way fun.

Part of what I love doing is having family ask me to help with their special day. It's great when you can mix business with family and Mahana & Nestor are fun to get mixed up with anyway. Felicitaciones guys, we love ya.

Adrienne & Mike Part II

One of the great things about doing events and weddings is you really run into some talented people who really are the perfect blend of professional and artistic. We had the pleasure of encountering such a company in Radiant Photography.

This dynamic duo of Scott and Breanna Chanson are everywhere but kind of in a ninja, non-impact, low carbon footprint type of way. They are your dream vendors ladies and gentlemen.

One of my favorite things about this assortment of pictures is that it is only a fraction of all the photos they took of this couple throughout their wedding day. It looks as though this was taken over days and even different events rather than just a matter of hours. These people can craft memories.

We really enjoyed working with them and they brought back a memorable evening when we reviewed the pictures of Adrienne and Mike. They have put together a fantastic blog and website. Give them a visit or better yet book them for a session.

Adrienne and Mike

It's officially hot. Setting up for an outdoor wedding in May can be brutal. The weather has been warmer than normal, so we were all working our tans for the last few days. The end product was really worth the roasting we experienced. We're so glad things lined up for Mike and Adrienne. They deserved a special night and by all accounts it was.

The wedding vendors did such a professional job. The food, cake, photo booth, and dj were great. We loved having the photo booth. I'm glad Adrienne insisted on using this service, it was a great way to make the sign-in book with the photo strips that were shot. The wedding photographer was Fantastic. I can't wait to see their work. I was drooling all over the photo shop software he had and how he put the slide show together, me likey. We'll need to post his photos when they're available, I can't wait.

We wish Adrienne and Mike the best and thank them for trusting us to do their special day.

Reyes party

We were invited to help throw a party for the Reyes girls. It was a combo sweet sixteen/quinceañera so it was twice the fun. It's nice doing fun instead of so formal. The theme of the party was masquerade/mystique so it was fun designing the centerpieces with the sisters. Cami and Yasmin looked great and were a lot of fun. Thanks for having us girls.

Ginormous Arrangement

I love non-event outlets for what's going on in my head. My sister gave me the job of creating a floral arrangement/centerpiece for her friend's home. We had fun trying to fit it in the suburban to try and transport it. I may be busy for awhile though, my sister saw it and said "you will create one for me next". Oh well, no rest for the Wicked lovers. I can't wait for 7/21/2009.

Allie & Chase Open House

We had the privilege of setting up a back yard open house that had some island touches to it. The poor couple had to go to Hawaii to get married, my heart goes out to them;) It was fun working outdoors again, but the wind this spring has been brutal. Needless to say the candles didn't want to stay lit. The family provided the yummy food and it was a really fun night that was very well attended. Congratulations Alli and Chase, and all the best in your new life together.

Hayley & Austin's Reception

We had a fun time with this family. They were very creative and you can tell they know how to plan an event. I'm flattered they chose to use our services. The funny thing is that the bride went to school with my oldest. I'm not ready to marry off any of my kids yet. It seems I was just married, where did that time go?

What a great party our latest bride put on. She had great DJ, catering, mariachis, and we think the decorating wasn't that bad either. This was one where we stayed and partied. My assistant garnered a lot of attention from the bride's extended family. She was a great sport and she's always very appreciated for what she brings to these events. Carolinas did the catering and it was very tasty...mmmmmm. We loved this event and were honored to be a part of it. Thanks Vero.
